In “Case Study,” I focused on upcycling float glass painted with enamels to create 5″x5″x0.75″ slides depicting fragments of my being (a finger print, a drop of blood, hair draped in enamels, a flick of saliva, a tear drop swirled between glass sheets…) to transparently showcase my identity in a 20″x20″x5″ frosted glass box. Each three-layers slide has been fed enamels by capillary action on the side with an encasement of my fragment and then tack fused to not loose the sharpness of the biting edge in glass.
